Obituary of Devon Anthony Donald Tinus

Tinus: Devon Anthony Donald It is with profound sadness and broken hearts the Tinus and Armstrong families announce the tragic loss of their son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin, Devon Tinus on Friday March 13, 2009 in London at the age of 12. Born in Chatham, youngest child of Timothy Tinus and Wendy Armstrong. Cherished grandson of Tony & Joanne Tinus, Doris Armstrong and Harvey Huckle. Great-grandson to Maria Tinus along with Great-Grandma & Grandpa Palmer and Great-Grandma Ingrid Mouton. Step-grandson of Kathleen Armstrong. Much loved and younger brother of Taylor Armstrong-Hind, Joanna Tinus and Samantha Tinus. Nephew of Joseph Armstrong and his wife Rebecca Lynn, Mark Tinus and his wife Shirley. Devon will also be dearly missed by many great-aunts, uncles and great-great aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandfather Donald Armstrong, great-grandparents Mylo and Helen Armstrong, and his uncle Jeffery Tinus. Devon was a student at McNaughton Avenue Public School. His engaging and endearing personality enabled him to make many friends. His fun loving spirit will forever be remembered by his family and those friends that were fortunate enough to have known him. Devon was a true Canadian hockey fan and was loyal to his Calgary Flames. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home- 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Gregory Drive Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Drive. Chatham (519-351-2040) from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Gord Reynolds officiating. Cremation to follow.
