Lindsey-Powers: Sheila Ruth. On March 20, 2009 Sheila Ruth Lindsey-Powers was called home to be with her Lord in her 65th year after a short illness. Survived by cousins James Stewart, Paul Dunslow, Scott Dunslow, Brad Dunslow, Brent Dunslow & Mike Dunslow and their families. Predeceased by her father Herm Lindsey (1988), her mother Ruth Lindsey (1998) and her cousin Kaye Dunslow (2008). An infant son and brother also predeceased. Sheila will be remembered as a very special lady. She loved and served her Lord, always striving to honour and glorify Him. She, countless times put others before herself. Sheila was a precious treasure to many. As a physiotherapist, she touched many while working at Thames Valley Children’s Centre, CPRI, Southwest Regional Centre, and the Prism Centre. She volunteered as often as she could, working to enrich and improve the lives of others. She was a valued member of the Church family of St. James Presbyterian Church. Resting at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, where visitation will take place Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. John Giurin officiating. Private interment in Ingersoll will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Key Companions Service Dogs, St. James Presbyterian Church, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - MRI Fund or Canadian Hearing Society, Chatham Branch.
