PEPPER: Thelma Janet Helena. A resident of R.R. #2, Merlin, Thelma Pepper died Monday March 23, 2009 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 78. Born in Raleigh Township, daughter of the late George & Irene (Kearns) Rice. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd E. Pepper (2006). Dear mother of Brenda & Ed Wood, Erieau; Brian & Susan Pepper, Raleigh Township; Krista & Al Miller, Belle River; Christopher & Leeanne Pepper, Merlin and the late Margaret Ann Brown (1999) and her husband Gary Brown of Raleigh Township. Cherished grandmother of Nicole and Ryan Brown; Chad Wood; Ken, Becky, Jeremy, and Miranda Pepper; Brandon, Sean and Krystal Miller; Vanessa, Emily and Zachary Pepper. Great-grandmother of Destiny, Abby, Jordan, Brenner and Victoria. Sister of Norma Jean Rice of Chatham and predeceased by 4 brothers. Thelma was a life member of Rebekah Lodge and a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 456, Merlin. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday March 26, 2009 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Skillings officiating.
