King: Violet Audrey (nee Matthews) A resident of Chatham, Audrey King passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Tuesday March 24, 2009 at the age of 84. Born in Courtland, Ontario, daughter of the late Charles (1949) and Rose Matthews (nee Haney) (1980). Dear wife of Armand King and the late Bernard Jubenville (1964). Beloved mother of Joyce Seagrave(Paul) of Grand Bend, Reneé Rivait (Terry) of Pain Court, Anne Bryant of Chatham, Richard King (Shurlee) of Chatham, Brian King (Diana) of California and Gary King (Theresa) of Puce. Proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Velma Clark (Bob) of Clear Creek, and sister-in-law of Carol Matthews of Delhi. Audrey will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Ila Hill (1999), Ruby Bertling (2006), Marjorie Kenny (1967), Edith Surgent (2003) and her brother Ivan Matthews (1995). Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection to be held at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church 52 Croydon St. Chatham on Friday March 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Jack Hurley celebrant. Memorial donations to honour Audrey’s life can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
