Obituary of L. Marie Steel

STEEL: Marie. A resident of Ridgetown, Marie Steel died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday March 25, 2009 at the age of 74. Born in Blenheim on April 2, 1934, daughter of the late Norman & Beatrice (Wise) Wright. Beloved wife of the late Ralph S. Steel (1980), and mother of the late Robert (Bob) Steel (2005). Marie is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Melba Steel of London, and grandson Robert (Bobby) Steel Jr. Also surviving are 3 special cousins Marion Osborne of Ridgetown, Joyce LaPointe of Wallaceburg, and Doreen Virgill of Washington State. Marie was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Ridgetown. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Saturday March 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matt Loveday of Emmanuel Congregational Church officiating.
