Obituary of Julie Pullen

PULLEN: Julie Ann. A resident of Blenheim, Julie Pullen passed away peacefully at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital, Windsor and went to be with Grandma Fisher on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the age of 55. Born in Chatham, dear daughter of Julius and Marilyn (Cundle) VanBiesbrouck of Blenheim. Beloved wife of Frank Pullen for 38 years. Loving mother of Chris Pullen and his wife Lanh of Beaumont, Texas, Gareth Pullen of Blenheim, and Lee-Ann Tong and her spouse Stephan Langan of Shrewsbury. Special grandmother of Dillon, Bryan, Andrew, and Keerstin. Sister of Barry and Sandy VanBiesbrouck of Blenheim, Lee and Jill VanBiesbrouck of Grimsby, Laurie and Larry Callow of Blenheim, Jeanette and Michael Higgins of New Orleans, Louisiana, Daphne VanBiesbrouck and her spouse Bosco Bertram of Tecumseh, Merrie and Mike Wierts of Beamsville, and the late Susan Demeyre (2003) and her husband Mike of Blenheim. Sister-in-law of Tricia (Pat) and Art Wardle of Rondeau Park, Ann and Ernie Beattie of Chatham, and Bill and Pam Haddock of Tilbury. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was a 41-year employee of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and faithfully ran the canteen at the Blenheim Arena. As an organ donor, she has selflessly given the gift of life and sight to others. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Cook of Blenheim United Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations in honour of Julie to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
