Obituary of George Walter Nichol

Nichol: G. Walter “Wally”. A resident of Blenheim, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2009 at his home at the age of 78. Born in Chatham son of the late Senior and Margaret (Ritchie) Nichol. Beloved husband of Helen (Drewery) Nichol. Dear father of David (Kim), John (Candy), and Peter (Sandy) Nichol all of Blenheim. Grandfather of Billie-Jo Farrell (Derek), Thamesville, Shane, Matthew, amd Daniel Nichol all of Blenheim. Great-grandfather of Mya, Ava, and Lea Farrell all of Thamesville. Brother of Robert (Amy) Nichol, Blenheim, Margaret (Bill) Petrie, Mississauga and the late Tom Nichol, Jean Porter, and Mayme Samson. Brother-in-law of Ish Nichol, Tillsonburg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Wally’s request was there be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A Family Interment Service will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim at a later date. The dedication of the Bay Shore case workers, nurses and in home care workers made it possible for Wally’s wife and family to have him remain at home throughout his illness.
