Barnwell, Donald Walter, a resident of Ridgetown. Donald Barnwell died Friday April 10, 2009 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham at the age of 82. Born in Howard Township, son of the late Charles Edward & Mabel Irene (Magee) Barnwell. Don was the owner & operator of Barnwell Nursing Home, Ridgetown and Past President of the Ridgetown Rotary Club. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn M.L.(Malott) Barnwell (2006). Dear father of Ralph & Grace Ann Barnwell, Amherstburg; Connie Barnwell, Ridgetown; Dave & Erica Barnwell, St. Thomas; and Pamela & Dr. David Gregory, Union. Grandfather of James, John Wayne & wife Susan, Michael, Michelle & husband Andrew, Christopher, Heather and Jennifer. Great grandfather of Eathan, Chase and Reece. Brother of Jean & Harry Burleigh, Chatham and the late Lloyd Barnwell and Arthur Barnwell. Brother-in-law of Sally Johnson, Blenheim and Lemay Jones, Blenheim. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
