KING: Betty Lorene (nee Graham) (Hooker), a resident of Chatham, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 84. Born in Mersea Township to the late Florence Mae (Cottingham) & James Arthur Graham, on November 30, 1924. Beloved wife of the late Thomas King (2003) and Edwin Hooker (1945). Loving mother of Sherry & Doug Kerr of Chatham and Wendy King of Barrie. Betty was the youngest of seven children and the last remaining member of her immediate family, she is predeceased by siblings and their spouses Floyd & Effie Graham, Isabel & Stan Coulter, Clifford & Beatrice Graham, Harold & Lulu Graham, Lyle & Doris Graham, and Eva & Ollie Hyatt. She is survived by brothers and sisters in-law Edwina, Evelyn, and George & Gwen King, Edna Teskey, Hazel Gillanders, Jean Brodie, Carol & Jim Caughy, and Eileen & Henry Dolata, and predeceased by Jack and Clive King, Lawrence Teskey, Ed Gillanders, Don Brodie, and Don Hooker. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009, at 1:30 p.m., from the Funeral Home, with Rev. Cathy Collins-Barker officiating. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Tilbury.
