Salisbury: Edward E. A resident of Chatham, Edward Salisbury passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Sydenham Campus on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the age of 82. Born in Chatham Township, son of the late George and Beama-Faye (nee Lewis) Salisbury. Loving husband and best friend for more than 55 years to Donna Jean (nee Allison). Dear father to Jay and Mary Ann Salisbury of Chatham. Proud grandfather to the “light of his life”- Matthew Salisbury. Dear brother to Ronald Salisbury and Brenda of Merlin, Barbara McCrae of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother Robert Earl Salisbury. Edward will also be dearly missed by several brother and sister’s-in-law, nieces and nephews. Ed was a retired Transport Driver working for Husband Transport before his retirement. He was also an Executive Member of the Teamsters Union. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Koppes officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to honour Ed’s life can be made to the Praise Fellowship Soup Kitchen, Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Continuing Care Unit or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
