Obituary of Paul Murray

MURRAY: Paul Neville A resident of Blenheim, Paul Murray passed away at his home with family and friends by his side on Monday, July 13, 2009 at the age of 70. Paul was the son of his late parents Jack Hastings Murray and Kathleen Adelaide Murray (nee Neville). Beloved husband of Pat Murray. Predeceased by his first wife Lorraine Patricia Van Biesbrouck (1992). Loving father to Shelly Anne Murray of Chatham and Scott Kelly Murray of Blenheim. Stepfather to Sonya Gordon (Nick Singleton) of Texas and Brandon Gordon of Montreal. Proud grandfather of Ryan Stewart, Ian Paul Stewart, Hannah Lorn Murray and Cole William Murray. Paul will be remembered for his joy of life and generosity. He was the type of man who would give you “the shirt off his back” and will be fondly remembered by his many friends, in particular his hunting buddies and his hockey buddies. He was a member of the Morpeth Oldtimers, and his number 24 was known on Sunday mornings as being the most feared in the league. Paul’s family would like to thank all of his friends for their kindness and support during these tough times. A Memorial Wake will be held back at “the Eau” (Big Jim Clendenning’s place) on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
