Obituary of Richard Fisher

FISHER: Richard “Dick” James, a resident of Chatham for 40 years, Dick Fisher passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the age of 80. Born in Romford, England to his late parents William and Edith Fisher. Beloved husband of Evangeline “Vanny” Fisher (nee Gill). Loving father of Kathleen Chayer and her husband Martin of London and Christopher Fisher of Gatineau, Quebec. Proud grandfather of his four grandchildren, Hayley and Lauren Chayer and William and Tristan Fisher. Predeceased by his brother Lewis Fisher. Dick was an employee at Kraft Foods for 27 years and at Leaf Confections for 10 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made on behalf of Dick to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
