Obituary of Victor Joseph Mallette

Mallette; Victor Joseph, a resident of R.R. #1 Grande Pointe. Victor Mallette passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 21, 2009 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 84. Born in Dover Township son of the late Esdras & Marie (Lucier) Mallette. Beloved father of Paul & Jacqueline Mallette, Tilbury; Michelle & Sam Meandro, Caledon and a late infant daughter Valerie. Victor will be dearly missed by his two grandchildren Gregory & Natalie Mallette of Tilbury. Brother of Marie Jeanne Herbert and her late husband Gerald, Thamesville; Ben & Mary Mallette, Chatham; Gerald & Alice Mallette, Thamesville; Margaret Grant and her late husband Mel, Simcoe; and Rene & Pat Moison, Wallaceburg. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, pets and close friends. Victor’s greatest passions were farming with Paul, playing cards and working as a full time electrician with the Bradley Family. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday July 24, 2009 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and the 4th Degree Fr. James Assembly #0867 and the Immaculee Conception Council #9693 of the K. of C. will assemble for prayers on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at Immaculee Conception Church, Pain Court at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Eugene Roy and Fr. Louis Rivard celebrants. Interment in St. Philippes Cemetery, Grande Pointe. Donations in memory of Victor to the CKHA – MRI Fund would be appreciated.
