Obituary of William Presant

Presant: William C. A resident of Blenheim, Ontario passed away at the Blenheim Community Village Nursing Home on Wednesday July 22nd, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Born in Chatham, Ontario son of the late John and Irene (Clemens) Presant. Beloved husband of the late Donna Marie (Burnham) Presant (1994). Dear father of Pat & Todd Cohan of East Lansing, Michigan, Pam & Stephen Schober of Toronto, David Presant of Dawson Creek, B.C., Greg & Deb Presant of St. Thomas and Bill & Angela Presant of Blenheim. Grandfather of 10 and predeceased by grandaughter Shelby Dawn Presant. Brother of the late Jack & Paul Presant. William was a Merchant Marine Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy where he served as a Signalman in WWII. He was a fruit farmer for many years. He was also employed at Carruther's Motors in Blenheim where he worked in Automotive Sales for many years until his retirement. Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday August 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Terris of Blenheim Baptist Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Chatham-Kent O.S.P.C.A.
