Obituary of Doris Isaacs

ISAACS: Doris Sophia, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Dover Centre, Doris Isaacs passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Isaacs (1980). Loving mother of Rick Isaacs (Velma) of Chatham, Bill Isaacs (Janet) of Lighthouse Cove and Evelyn Whitwham (Rob) of Calgary. Predeceased by her son Robert Isaacs (1996). Proud grandmother of Trevor Isaacs (Carrie), Kelly Isaacs, Matt Isaacs, Heather Butts (Rob), Brooke Isaacs (Spencer Bryce), Kevin Whitwham, Greg Whitwham and Robyn Whitwham. Great-grandmother of 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by her daughter-in-law Norma Isaacs of Kingsville. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Doris was a teacher at the Kent County School Board for many years. She was also an Elder Emeritus at the Grace Congregational Christian Church. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Pieter Schinkelshoek officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery.
