Obituary of Ronald Francis

FRANCIS: Ronald Henry. Sadly, on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at the age of 65, Ronald H. Francis, a resident of Chatham, and formerly of Blenheim, passed away suddenly with his ever-loving wife of 45 years, Ruth (nee Gardiner), at his side. Ron unconditionally loved and supported his four children, Colleen and Greg Anderson, Cathy and David Tinline, Carrie and Dan Hinds, and Craig and Janice (nee Coppens) Francis, all of Chatham, and he was an extremely proud, dedicated, and involved grandfather of Rachel and Jillian Anderson, Brianna and Derian Tinline, Emily Hinds, and Jordan, Rhyan, Christian, and Devan Francis. Ron is survived by sisters Doreen DeHaas, and Jean (Wayne) Parker, both of Chatham, and by brother Donald (Nancy) Francis of Wheatley. He is predeceased by his mother Mildred (nee Morrell) Francis, father Arthur Francis, sister Joan Francis, and brothers Doug Francis and Arthur Francis. Also surviving is his mother-in-law Gladys Gardiner (nee Drury), sister-in-law Donna and Bruce Richardson of Chatham, and brothers-in-law Robert and Sandra Gardiner of Chatham, Jim and Cheryl Gardiner of Blenheim, Bill and Joyce Gardiner of Erie Beach, and Wayne Gardiner of Chatham. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by sister-in-law Darlene Gardiner. Ron had a lifelong career in the manufacturing business. He was a successful business owner of Specialty Aluminum Products in Blenheim. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Ken Powell of Glad Tidings Community Church officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Memorials to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson's Foundation would be appreciated.
