CARREIRO: Alda Ferreira - A resident of Chatham, Alda Carreiro passed away after a lengthy illness, at her residence with family by her side on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the age of 63. Born in Vila Franca do Campo, São Miguel, Açores, daughter of the late Jose and Maria de Conceiçáo de Sousa. Beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Carreiro (2009). Loving mother of Alda Maria, Joe (Jennifer), Linda (Jason), Nelinha (Eric) and Matthew (Stephanie) all of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Kristina, Khristyan, Meaghan, Brieanne, Stephanie, Mackenzie, Jason and Joshua. Survived by her sisters and brothers Maria de Conceiçáo, Jose, Armanda, Angelina, Albano, Maria Jose, Antonio and Sofia. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Fr.
