Kuijer, D. Eileen. A resident of Chatham and formerly of Blenheim, Dora Eileen Kuijer passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday September 24, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Born in St. Thomas, daughter of the late Leo and Grace (Lavoie) Monaghan. Beloved wife of the late Arie Kuijer (2001). Step-mother of Wilma and Bert Stephens of Chatham, Pete & Trish Kuijer of Blenheim and John Kuijer of Windsor. Grandmother of 5. Sister of Maureen & John Cassidy of St. Thomas, Joan Pataky of Sarnia, Terry and John Hello of Windsor, Mary Ellen & Robert Clark of Malvern PA, Peter & Beverley Monaghan of Port Colborne, Twin sister Kathleen and Alexander Murray of Whitby, Sharon & Eoin Muir of Windsor, Patrick Monaghan of Sarnia, Colleen & Leo Renner of St. Thomas, George & Susan Monaghan/Knott of St. Thomas and the late Patricia Jones and Norman Monaghan. Also survived by a brother-in-law Grant Jones of Sarnia, a sister-in-law Mary Monaghan of Saskatoon, Sask., her beloved Anne Marie and several nieces and nephews. Eileen was a retired Registered Nursing Assistant and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Blenheim. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday September 27, 2009 from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blenheim on Monday September 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Greg Mulligan as celebrant. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
