Obituary of Marilyn Van Biesbrouck

Van BIESBROUCK: Marilyn (Cundle). Marilyn Van Biesbrouck of Blenheim passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the age of 80 with her family by her side. Marilyn was born in Chatham on February 17, 1929 to Clifford and Laurie (Foster) Cundle and step-daughter of the late Arthur Fisher. Beloved wife of Julius for 62 years. Loving mother of Barry and Sandy Van Biesbrouck of Blenheim, Lee and Jill Van Biesbrouck of Grimsby, Laurie and Larry Callow of Blenheim, Janette and Michael Higgins of New Orleans, Daphne Van Biesbrouck and Bosco Bertrand of Tecumseh, Merrie and Mike Wierts of Beamsville, and predeceased by daughter Julie Pullen (2009) and her husband Frank of Blenheim, and Susan Demeyre (2003) and her husband Mike of Blenheim. Sister of the late Donald Cundle and his wife Jackie of Blenheim, the late Beverley Wayne Cundle, and the late Jean and Keith Holdaway. Cherished grandmother of Josh and Dane Van Biesbrouck, Michael, Heather, and Brian Van Biesbrouck, Tanya and Bernie (Zilliges), Kristen Callow, Clayton and Niki Callow, Chris and Lanh Pullen, Gareth Pullen (Liliqiong), Joel and Dylan Demeyre, Connor and Ryker Bertrand, and Colin and Sarah Wierts. Loving great-grandmother of Bailey, Claire, and Zoe Zilliges, Dillion, Bryan, and Andrew Pullen, Coleton Callow, Alexis and Lilith Demeyre. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was a dedicated member of the Blenheim United Church, the Randolph Churchill Chapter of the I.O.D.E., the Kent Doll Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Blenheim United Church, and she was a founding member of Meals on Wheels in Blenheim. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Friday October 23, 2009 at Blenheim United Church, 49 George St., Blenheim from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Cook officiating. Cremation with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Blenheim United Church Memorial Fund or Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated.
