Obituary of Bernice Shaw

SHAW: Bernice. A resident of Ridgetown, Bernice Shaw passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the age of 88. Born in Dawn Township, daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (Reek) Butler. Beloved wife of the late Garnet Shaw (1985). Dear mother of Bev and Catherine Shaw of Ridgetown and predeceased by her son Clayt Shaw (2007). Grandmother of Jeff and Tammy Shaw, John Shaw, Karen and Dwayne Boismier, Stephen and Krista Shaw, Aaron Shaw, and Reagan Shaw. Great-grandmother of Brent, Derek, Brandon, and Allison Shaw. Also survived by her twin sister Bea McIntyre of Chatham, sister Dorothy Hughes and her husband Cam of Ridgetown, sister Margaret Paton of Ingersoll and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Ridgetown and the Ridgetown Senior's Centre. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Shaw officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
