Obituary of James Arthur Brown

Brown: James Arthur, It is with profound sadness that the large and loving family of Jim Brown announces his passing on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance- Chatham Campus at the age of 74. Born in Chatham, son of the late Arthur and Clara (Pickup) Brown. Loving spouse for 39 years and with him until the end was Marlene Pelletier. Dear father to Joanne, Karen, David, Rhonda, Debbie, Vicki, Lori, Lynda, Liane, Cheryl and Scott. Proud grandfather to 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jim is survived by his sister Miriam Browning and her husband Larry. Brother-in-law to Clarence Browning. Predeceased by his sister Noreen Browning. Jim was a retired employee of Cash & Carry Lumber. He was also a musician and played with the Toppers in Chatham. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home- 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 9:30 a.m until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Memorial donations to honour Jim’s life can be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
