Obituary of Leonard Nettleton

NETTLETON: Leonard W., a resident of Chatham, Leonard Nettleton passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday November 6, 2009 at the age of 91. Born in Chatham, Ontario son of the late Sydney & Edith Ada Emily (Turner) Nettleton. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Ann Margaret Nettleton (nee Mairs)(2000). Loving father of Gary Nettleton (Kathy Sherring) of Erie Beach and Brian Nettleton (Maureen) of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Lynn McIntosh (Jay) of Wallacetown, Susan Haley (Matt) of Chatham, Richard Nettleton (Dianne) of Chatham and Robert Nettleton (Jen Nantais) of Corunna. Also missed by Tammy Nettleton. Great-grandfather of eleven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Mildred Greven and his brothers Tom and Bill Nettleton. Leonard served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II and was a member of the Chatham-Kent Amateur Radio Club. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street on Sunday November 8, 2009 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gord Reynolds officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
