MARCUS: Maurice Peter. A resident of Tilbury, Maurice Marcus died at his residence on Saturday November 7, 2009 with his loving family by his side. Born in Wallaceburg, 75 years ago, son of the late Frank & Bertha (Janssens) Marcus. Beloved husband of 50 years to Yolande Marcus (Delrue). Loving father of Marlene Nead (Barry) of Windsor, Diane Armstrong (Wayde) of Tilbury, Linda Richie (Mark) of Tilbury, and Brian Marcus (Tracy) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 6. Predeceased by one grandson Jason in 2008. Dear brother of Edward Marcus (Yvonne) of Wallaceburg, Annie VanRuymbeke (George) of Wallaceburg, and Ronald Marcus (Mary Lou) of Chatham. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Maurice was an ambitious and hardworking farmer and entrepreneur, who also worked in a number of factories and operated a tool business for several years. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 32 Canal Street West, Tilbury on Wednesday November 11, 2009 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Robert Champagne celebrant. Interment St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Association in memory of Maurice would be appreciated.
