Obituary of Barbara Pickering

PICKERING: Barbara Ann. A resident of Blenheim, Barbara Pickering passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the age of 77. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Wilfred “Frenchie” and Fern (Pumfrey) Belanger. Beloved wife of the late Glen Pickering (May 25, 2009). Dear mother of Bill Brundritt of B.C., Betty Kinny of Wallaceburg, Robert Pickering and his wife Angela of Blenheim, Janice Pickering of Blenheim, Bruce Pickering and his wife Diana of Windsor, Glenna Pickering and her spouse Mark North of Chatham, Carla Doan and her husband Jim of Blenheim, and the late Wayne Pickering, Diane St. Pierre, and Ronnie Brundritt. Also survived by son-in-law Gary St. Pierre of Courtright. Grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 17. Sister-in-law of Gerald Pickering of Blenheim, Edith Durfy of Blenheim, and Jackie Pickering of Blenheim. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1030 in Blenheim. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
