Obituary of Maxine Marie DeKoning

DeKoning: Maxine Marie (nee Maine) A resident of Chatham, Maxine DeKoning passed away at Riverview Gardens on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the age of 85. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Jack and Lillian (Legue) Maine. Loving wife for 48 years to the late Peter DeKoning (1997). Dear mother of Peter and Beverly DeKoning. Proud grandmother to Brett and Emma. Maxine is survived by her sisters Gwen Hanuszak, Dorothy Kouyzer, Eleanor Hanuszak and Barbara Bowes. Predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Gerald Maine and her sister Virginia Graham. Maxine was a Honourary Life Member of the Chatham Granite Club and a longtime member of the Maple City Golf and Country Club. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home-459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Elaine Wilcox officiating. Cremation with interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
