Obituary of Shirley Burke

BURKE: Shirley. A longtime resident of Chatham, Shirley Burke died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday November 21, 2009 at the age of 86. Born in Detroit, daughter of the late Lyle & Gladys (Erla) (Powell) Abray. Beloved wife of the late Stan Burke (2003). Loving mother of Laurie & her husband Doug Churchill of Chatham, and cherished grandmother of Nick Churchill of Hamilton, and Jacob Churchill of Chatham. Sister of Loretta Kowalski of Michigan, and the late Betty, Muriel, Lois, Katie, and Lorne. Sister-in-law of Iris Burke of Tilbury. Shirley will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, as well as her wonderful and caring neighbours and friends.
