Obituary of Katherine Weed

WEED: Katherine Margaret (Stenton). Passed away peacefully on December 4, 2009 at University Hospital, London at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Alan for 51 years. Dear daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (McLennan) Stenton. Loving sister of Christine and her husband Ray Adkin. Special aunt of Kathy and Allan Adkin. Also survived be her niece Sharon, and nephews Mike and Bob, as well as several grand-nieces and nephews in Devon, England. Katherine is also survived by several special cousins in the area. Alan and Katherine were former residents of Windsor where she taught for many years with the Windsor Board of Education. In 1983, they retired to Charing Cross to the family farm. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell and Rev. David Steadman officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
