Obituary of Marie Brown

BROWN: Marie Aileen. A resident of Ridgetown, Marie Brown passed away at University Hospital, London on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the age of 75. Born in Middleton Township, daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Snow) Taylor. Beloved wife of Gordon L. Brown for 52 years. Dear mother of David and Danièle Brown of Port Hope, Heather Brown and Calvin Orok of Sudbury, Scott and Jackie Brown of Ancaster, and Carol Brown and John Dutton of Toronto. Grandmother of Alexander, Elizabeth, Maxwell, Gavin, Michael, Sarah, and Timothy. Sister of Helen and Don Houghton of St. Thomas. Sister-in-law of Beverly and Pat Brown of Toronto, and Frances Mason of Levack. Marie was a retired Elementary School Teacher and taught for 25 years. She spent most of her career at Adelaide McDonald Public School, Strathroy with special needs students. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Erie Street United Church, 7 Erie St. N., Ridgetown on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. (visiting from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Church) with Rev. Judith Fayter officiating. Cremation with interment in Elmdale Cemetery, St. Thomas.
