Steinburg, Rev. Howard, a resident of Chatham. Rev. Howard Steinburg died Monday December 14, 2009 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham surrounded by a loving family. Born on May 9th, 1922 in Mactier, Ontario son of the late Herbert & Elsie (Doxsee) Steinburg. He is survived by his wife Margaret and predeceased by his wife Ruth (1990). Dear father of Karen (Ted) McCarter; Ann (William) Fife; Madeline (Terry) Shanks; Beth (Dan) Pollack; David (Lynda) Dodman; Carmen (Vickie) Dodman; Bill (Stella) Dodman; Mike (Denise) Dodman; Peter (Miriam) Dodman and the late Bob Dodman. Grandfather to Christopher Youngash and lovingly known as Papa to 39 other grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Bill, Kemp, Don and Thelma Steinburg. Rev. Steinburg was a Veteran of W.W. II, and an engineer on the C.N.R. before going into the ministry at Huron College. He served as an Anglican Priest in the Huron Diocese for 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Chatham. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Friday December 18, 2009 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Selkirk St., Chatham at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Kristen Oliver officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Rev. Steinburg to Outreach for Hunger or St. Paul’s Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
