Obituary of Caroline Hewings

HEWINGS: Caroline Jane (Hedrick). After a dignified and courageous battle with cancer, Caroline passed away at her residence in Blenheim on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the age of 67, surrounded by her family. Leaving behind her friend, soul mate, and husband of 49 years, Tom. Her two children, son Randy Hewings and his wife Carol of Brantford, and daughter Kim Braun and her husband Mitch of Wingham. Loving grandmother to her only grandsons, Dalton and Owen. Dear sister of Jack Hedrick and his wife Bea of Windsor, Doreen Faflack of Chatham, and Bette Clark of Blenheim. Predeceased by her parents Bessie and Clifford Hedrick, brothers Edward, Donnie, and Bill Hedrick, and sister Agnes and her husband Keith Cutt. Caroline will be missed by many surviving relatives and friends, including those she worked with during her tenure of over 30 years at the W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind in Brantford, and all the girlfriends belonging to the "Old Girl Reunion" Group in and around Blenheim. A Memorial Service will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. with The Rev.
