Obituary of Laura Irene Laforet

LAFORET, Laura Irene (Primeau) – Peacefully at Copper Terrace Nursing Home with her family by her side, Mom went home to be with our Lord on December 19, 2009. Daughter of the late Algo and Fannie Primeau (Corbett). Dear wife of the late Frank (Sam) Laforet (1985). Beloved mother of Bill Laforet, Dan and Cathy Laforet and Mary Ann and Larry Stokes. Gramma to Mike and Natalie Stokes, Laura and Jamie Stokes-Crain, Sarah and Steve Nichols and Amy Laforet. Great-gramma to Abigail, Jocelyn, Emily Stokes and Kayla Nichols. Predeceased by son John (1963), sister lIa Doman and brother Harry Primeau. Mom was born in Chatham but spent her teenage and working years in Detroit returning to Chatham after she married. After her children had grown she returned to the workforce working in Medical Records at the Chatham Public General Hospital until her retirement. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham, on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Internment at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
