Obituary of Martin Emrich

EMRICH: Martin - A resident of Chatham, Martin Emrich Sr. passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance –Sydenham Campus on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 at the age of 80. Born in Romania and having lived in Austria, Martin moved to Chatham in 1951. Beloved husband of Rosie Emrich. Loving father of Martin Emrich, Jr. (Andrea) of Chatham, Walter Emrich (Cheri) of Port Stanley, Danny Emrich of Chatham and Audrey Martin (Neil) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his daughter Rose Mary Emrich (1985). Proud grandfather of Kylie, Shealy, Julie, Lauren, Jordan and Michael. Great-grandfather of Ashlea and Fisher. Survived by his siblings Katie Klein and Mary Krautner, both of St. Catherines, Hans Emrich, George Emrich, Reinhart Emrich and Ziefred Emrich all of Austria and Frieda Wendier and Annie Baier, both of Australia. Predeceased by his brother Freddie Emrich and his sister Susie Worchach. Martin is also missed by several nieces and nephews. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Art Schiemann officiating.
