Obituary of Gerald A. 'Jerry' Parrott

Parrott: Gerald A. “Jerry”, A resident of Chatham, Jerry Parrott passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the age of 73. Born in Chatham, son of the late Albert and Annie (Rayment) Parrott. Loving husband for 54 years to Ruth Ann (Pottelberg). Cherished father of Cindy and Donald Schram, Eva and Jim Buchanan, Brenda and Larry Schram, Sherry and Gord Innes, Richard and Laurie Parrott and Bill Parrott. Proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sisters Verna Druer and Vivian Schram. Jerry will always be remembered as loving and devoted family man. Before retiring, Jerry worked at Eaton-Yale for over 25 years. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 in the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark Vincent officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to honour Jerry’s life can be made to the Arthritis Society and would be appreciated by the family.
