Obituary of Allan Thatcher

THATCHER: Allan Murray. A resident of Blenheim Community Village, Allan Thatcher passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, March 8, 2010 in his 71st year. Son of the late Fred and Mabel Thatcher, he was a lifelong resident of Harwich Township where he farmed for many years. He will be sadly missed by his wife, his daughter Lori of Holmesville, and his son Michael and his wife Daphne of the Blenheim area. He was the proud grandpa of Kyle, Scott and Danielle Reid, and Reegan and Jake Thatcher. Much loved brother-in-law to Lillian Thatcher of Morrisburg, Joan Thatcher of Chatham, and Barbara Thatcher of Richmond Hill. Allan was predeceased by his daughter Lisa (1974), and brothers Jay (1999), Bill (2004), and Bob (2009). The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 3:00-5:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:30p.m with The Rev. James E. Brown of Zion United Church officiating. Interment in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
