Obituary of Chuck Cooper

COOPER: William Charles (Chuck) A resident of London and formerly of Chatham, Chuck Cooper passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital, at the age of 81. Born in Chatham, son of the late Virgil Sr. & Ella (Chambers) Cooper. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Ricky Mandel. Loving and cherished father of Debra Cooper of London, Charlene & Bob Cowlan of Chatham, Sandra Cooper & Jeff Leuthel of Chatham, and Jay Cooper of Chatham, and step children Shari Goldstein and Jay & Joanne Mandel. Predeceased by his son Terry Eugene Cooper and daughter Laurie Leanne Cooper. Proud grandfather of 8. Chuck is survived by his sisters Pauline Guest, Marilyn & her husband Frank Terjek, and Virginia O’Neal. Predeceased by brother Virgil Cooper Jr. and brother in-law Hilliard Guest. Chuck is also remembered by many nieces, nephews and Karl Binga and Gerry & Glenna Binga. Chuck worked for many years in the automotive industry, as a manager of a body shop and later owning his own appraisal business. The family wishes to extend many heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses, staff and patients at the Southwestern Ontario Self Care Dialysis Unit and the L.H.S.C. for all their loving kindness and care shown to Chuck. Please join the family as they receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Funeral Home.
