Obituary of Wm. 'Bill' Carey

CAREY, William Burton (Bill) A resident of R.R. # 1 Morpeth, Bill Carey passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, on Friday, March 19, 2010, at the age of 82, of a heart attack. Born in Chatham, Ont. Beloved husband of Elly Carey (Boevé). Bill owned and operated Bill Carey’s Electrical Service in Chatham for 25 years. He retired with his wife Elly, 24 years ago, in the Rondeau area. Bill loved to fly his airplane, and was proud to be a pilot. Surviving, besides his wife, are 2 sons Allan (Debbie), David (Pam) of Blenheim, daughter Gale Carey (Dennis) of Richmond Hill, 5 grandchildren Elizabeth, Emily, David Jr., Melissa, and Sarah, 1 sister Jackie Faubert (Bernie) of Brampton, 1 brother Tom, a half brother Bradley (Cori) of B.C., and brother in-law Wim of the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Walter Harold Carey & Maureen Carey (Christner), brother Bobby and step mother Adele. Bill will be sadly missed by his cats, he loved so dearly. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 22, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Funeral service to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, from the Funeral Home. Interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Bill to the Chatham Humane Society (O.S.P.C.A.) are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
