Obituary of Grace Maude Sales

Sales: Grace Maude (nee Steele), A resident of Chatham, Grace Sales passed away at home with family by her side, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the age of 94. Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, daughter of the late Charles and Maude (nee Dark) Steele. Beloved wife of the late Oswald Sales (1980). Dear mother to Garry and Brenda (nee Jubenville) Sales, Marilyn and David Copley. Proud grandmother to 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Grace is survived by her sister Rose Elders and her brother Joseph Steele and his wife Eileen; and her sister- in-law Lillian Steele. Predeceased by her brothers Charles Steele and his wife Patricia, William Steele and brother in law Hank Elders; and her sister Alice Warren and her husband Wilf. Grace was a former member of Park Street United Church. Before her retirement, Grace was a sales person at Bork Shoes, Leanna’s Ladies Wear and Jackie Kays. Family will receive friends on at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
