Obituary of Velma Irene Callow

CALLOW: Velma Irene (nee Jenkins) - A resident of Blenheim and formerly of Wheatley, Velma Callow passed away at the Blenheim Community Village Retirement Residence on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the age of 86. Born in Woodslee, Velma was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ida (Brooker) Jenkins. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Callow (1999). Loving mother of Bob and Olga Callow of Aurora, Cheryl Callow of Blenheim, Linda and Brian Pickering of Blenheim, Barbara Callow of Chatham, Kathy Callow of London, Ruth Ann and Jim Ellis of Blenheim, Joy Hartford of Blenheim, Maryann and Marce Grossutti of Toronto, Donna and Rob Mailing of Blenheim, Murray and Jane Callow of Blenheim and Brenda and Ernst Burri of Switzerland. Proud grandmother of 26 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 4 great-grandchildren. Velma is survived by her sisters Helen Pardo of Blenheim, Hazel McMullin of Florida and Alma Wigle of Brampton. Predeceased by her sisters Leona Beacom, Nina Denner, Dorothy Bayly, Elsie McMullin and Ola Ware and her brothers Joe and Ray Jenkins. Velma was a member of the Women of the Moose #1030 and was fond of her times bowling at Golden Acre Lanes. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
