Obituary of Arbutus Margarete Wingrove

WINGROVE: Arbutus Margarete (Buddy) A resident of St Andrews Retirement Residence in Chatham Ontario for the last 2 years passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Monday April 19, 2010 at CKHA after a short illness. Born October 18, 1914 in Barrie, Ontario she was the daughter of John and Lucy (Burridge) Gossling. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Garfield Wingrove (1997). Loving mother to Ronald Wingrove (Elaine), Chatham Ontario and mother in law to Harvey Spring (Edna), Barrie Ont. Proud grandmother of Robin (Marc) Ouimet, Murray (Lianne) Spring , Mark (Judy) Spring all of Alberta, Liz (Garry) Phair and Kim Smith (Dave) of Chatham. Great grandmother to Jordyn Smith, Alexander Wingrove, Carrison and Amanda Phair, Kristi and Jesse Ouimet , Heather (Casey) Szautner, Daril Spring , Samantha, Nikki Taylor, Sasha, and Randy Spring. She also has 3 great, great grandchildren Morgan and Riley Szautner and Wake Spring. She is survived by one sister, Daisy Murphy in Thessalon, Ontario as well as numerous adoring nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved daughter, Marilyn Spring (2003) , step-sister Mary Brock, sister Lucy, brothers , John, Robert and Dave. She was a member of Bethel Community Church in Barrie Ontario. Visitation will be held at Bethel Church at 12 noon on Monday April 26, 2010 with the memorial service to follow at 1pm. Pastor Adam Nickell will officiate. Margaret had a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully throughout her life. Her greatest legacy to her children and grandchildren was her faith in Jesus. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to Bethel Community Church ,128 St Vincent St Barrie Ont. L4M 3Y8.
