Obituary of John Platt

PLATT: John, a resident of Kent Bridge, and formerly of Pembroke, Ontario passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Rita Platt (2008). Cherished father to David & Eileen Platt of Oakville, Nicky & Ron Mathewson of Kent Bridge, and Carey Platt of Windsor. Forever missed by his two grandchildren Jessica, and Christopher Platt. Survived by his brother-in-law Sidney Walker. Predeceased by his sister Elizabeth “Topsy” Walker. John was a WW II Veteran with the British Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and became part owner of Norallea Farms for 20 years. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at the Northwest Beach, Point Pelee National Park.
