Day, John Arthur D.D., a resident of Chatham and formerly Windsor. John Arthur Day D.D. passed away on Friday June 18, 2010 at the CKHA, Chatham Campus at the age of 95. Born in Toronto, Ontario son of the late Arthur & Mabel (Smith) Day. Beloved husband of Patricia (Jamieson/Hopkins) Day and the late Dorothy (1981) Dear father of Douglas & Ila Day of Windsor. Step-father of Michael & Jim Hopkins and special Papa to 8 grandchildren. John was a Veteren of WW II, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28, Chatham and a denturist in Windsor and Chatham since 1984. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Legion Memorial service will be conducted Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens.
