GILBERT: Eldon G. A resident of Chatham, Eldon Gilbert passed away, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at the age of 82. Born in Dover Township, son of the late John & Pearl (Stacey) Gilbert. Beloved husband of 60 years to Mary P. (Todgham) Gilbert. Loving father of the late Dr. David (2000) and his wife Kathi Gilbert, now of Collingwood, and Patricia Ann & William Sykes of Blenheim. Eldon will be missed by his granddaughter Jessica Sykes and grandson Gregory Gilbert. Dear brother of Jean & the late Gerald Jones of Chatham, Nora & the late Percy Herbert of the London area, Mary Ellen & the late Bert Mortier of Chatham, Velma & Kenneth Rose of Bothwell, Evelyn & the late Ross Patterson of Wardsville, the late Murray Gilbert and his wife Shirley of Chatham, the late Glen Gilbert & his wife Jean of Chatham, and Richard & Ruth Gilbert of Chatham. Eldon worked many years at Eaton Yale before retirement.
