Obituary of Marie Hooper

HOOPER: Marie N. A resident of Ridgetown, Marie Norma Hooper passed away at the Village Retirement Residence in Ridgetown on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Harwich Township, Marie was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mabel (Wood) Grieves. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Hooper (2008). Loving mother of Robert B. Hooper (Glenna) of Port McNeil, British Columbia and Richard D. Hooper (Mary) of Ridetown. Proud grandmother of Mark Hooper, Jessie Hooper, Mandy Hooper and Ashley Hooper. Predeceased by her sister Hazel Geddis (2001) and her brother Jack Grieves (2009). Marie was a retired employee of Trdyak’s Clothing. She was a member of the Ridgetown Senior Centre, the Community of Christ Church and the Ridgetown Senior’s Bowling League. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Monday June 28, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Al McIntyre officiating. Donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
