Obituary of William J. Ferguson

FERGUSON: William J. A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Clearville, William James Ferguson passed away at his home on Sunday June 27, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Born in Orford Twsp., son of the late Colin and Ada (McDougall) Ferguson. Beloved husband of Kathleen W. (Miller) Ferguson. Dear father of Brian and Evelyne Ferguson of Pickering, Joan and Bevin Schritt of Mt. Brydges and Donna and Myron Jones of Kent Bridge. Loved Grandfather of Elise Aerssen, Allison Jones and Craig & Brett Schritt. Brother of Jean and Glen Reynolds of St.Albert, Alberta and the late Marion and Ken Eberle and Maude and Stan Thomson. Bill was a retired farmer and was past president of both the Kent County Pork Producers and the Quality Swine Association. He was also a valued member of The Church of the Advent (Anglican) in Ridgetown. The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning after 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 30, 2010 with Rev. Stephen Demitroff officiating. Interment of cremated remains in Duart Cemetery, Orford Twsp.
