Obituary of William G. 'Bill' Bell

Bell: William “Bill”, A resident of Chatham, Bill Bell passed away at the Chatham Kent-Health Alliance on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the age of 84. Son of the late George and Florence (Milton) Bell. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Walker) Bell. Dear father of Linda (Bell) Shapiro and her husband Martin of London and Brian Bell of Richmond Hill. Proud and loving grandfather of Jennie Shapiro. Dear brother of George Bell and his wife Marie of West Lorne. Predeceased by his two sisters Flora and Betty and his brother Jim. Bill was a Veteran, serving his country during the Second World War. He was a retired employee of Ontario Hydro and a long time member of Chatham Baptist Church. Bill will forever be remembered for his love of Square Dancing and being a Caller at dances. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jamie Tiffin officiating. Interment to take place at Gillies Cemetery, West Lorne. Memorial donations to honour Bill’s life can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
