Obituary of Ellen Kathleen Swann

Swann: Ellen Kathleen (nee Wilton), A resident of Chatham and formerly of Windsor, Ellen Swann passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the age of 97. Ellen was born in London, England and was the daughter of the late Sydney and Ellen (nee Rugg) Wilton. Beloved wife of the late William Swann (1991). Dear mother of William Swann (Eileen) of Coaldale, Alberta, Joanne Ternovan (Mike) of Blenheim, Wayne Swann (Kate) of Kincardine and James Swann (Sandy) of Kingsville. Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Ellen is predeceased by her brothers Sydney and Ernie as well as her sister Hazel. Friends are invited to gather at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 81 Selkirk St, Chatham on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Alan Knight officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. Memorial donations to honour Ellen’s life can be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, and would be appreciated by the family.
