MILJKOVIC: Dragi A resident of Chatham and formerly of Paris, France and both Belgrade and Trnjané, Serbia, Dragi Miljkovic passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the age of 82. Born in Trnjané, Serbia, Dragi was the son of the late Petar and Živana Miljkovic. Beloved husband of Vida Miljkovic (nee Stanojevic). Proud father of Dr. Zeke Milkovic (Dr. Heather) of Chatham and Zoran Miljkovic of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Shannon Milkovic, Matthew Milkovic, Andrew Milkovic and the late Michael Milkovic. Predeceased by his two brothers Slavko Miljkovic & Tsoné Miljkovic and his sister Petrovka Miljkovic. Dragi is survived by several nieces and nephews in Europe. Dragi’s proudest accomplishment was immigrating to Canada to provide a better life for his family. He worked as a welder at the Dover Corporation in Chatham. Dragi was possibly the biggest hockey fan in the city, and when he was not supporting his grandchildren’s hockey teams he was often seen walking Zeke’s two labs Ginger and Murphy. Private family funeral arrangements have taken place. Donations made in memory of Dragi to the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
