Obituary of Isabel McCoig

McCOIG: Isabel – A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Dover Centre, Isabel McCoig passed away at Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 97. Born in Dover Centre, Isabel was the daughter of the late Robert and Annetta (McKenzie) Henderson. Beloved wife of the late Wilson McCoig (1984). Predeceased by her brothers Mack (Grace) Henderson and Kenneth (Gwen) Henderson. Proud aunt of Don and Ardythe Henderson of Dover Centre, Bill and Linda Henderson of Chatham, John and Carol Henderson of Wallaceburg, Ron and Kathy Henderson of Edmonton, Alberta, Jim and Susanne Hodgins of Corunna, Robert and the late Marie Taylor of Grand Bend and Dennis and Janet Taylor of Corunna. Also missed by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Isabel was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Blue Bell Chapter No. 145 of Chatham, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years where she assisted with the Ladies’ Auxiliary. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Maroney officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
