Obituary of Robert Potter

POTTER: Robert James (Rob). A resident of Chatham, Robert Potter passed away following a short and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the age of 57. Born in Exeter, cherished son of Jim Potter of Wyoming and the late Doreen (Asling) Potter. Loving husband and best friend of Nancy (Freeman) Potter for 28 years. Devoted Dad of Christopher Potter and his wife Jen of Chatham, and Elizabeth Birnie and her husband Dave of Hamilton. Proud Papa of Hailey and Madison. Dear brother of Deb and Gerald Vasselin of Alberta, and brother-in-law of Carol Roach of London. Uncle of Amanda Roach, Erin Roach, Casey and Melissa Vasselin, Tyler Vasselin, and Julie Vasselin. Great-uncle of Cohen and Katelynn. Rob was a Warden and active member of Christ Church, Chatham and retired from Hydro One following 35 years of service. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev.
