Obituary of Robert Summerfield

SUMMERFIELD: Robert John Allen – A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Charing Cross, Bob Summerfield passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Marsha Summerfield (nee Beecroft) for 44 years. Loving father of Chris Summerfield of Windsor and Tracy Gibbons (Michael) of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Nicholas, James, David, Kyle and Justin. Bob is survived by his sisters and brother Peachy DeVolder (Mike) of Chatham, Reta Kibbler of West Lorne and Richard Summerfield (Sharon) of Edmonton, Alberta. Bob will be missed at Christ Church where he was an active member. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at Christ Church, 80 Wellington St W, Chatham on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Millward officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to take place at a later date. Donations made in memory of Bob to the United Way would be appreciated by the family.
